History:
History
The original 1927 Atlantic Coast Line Depot was purchased from CSX Railroad by the City of Zephyrhills in 1989 and relocated 200 feet west of its original location. Restoration of the 2,700 square foot building began in 1997 with a Grant from the State Department of Transportation, and a ribbon cutting ceremony was held November 19, 1997, to celebrate its completion. The Historical Preservation Committee and the Zephyrhills Historical Association assisted in many ways to bring this restoration to reality.
Investigated by Citrus County Paranormal Investigators.
Reported activity includes hearing thumping and banging noises, and ghosts reportedly like to light up items.

Upon arriving, I did a quick walk through. The station is approximately two rooms with a wrap around porch. The upstairs was populated with tables and the downstairs had electric trains (not running), a restroom, and antiquities.
When I first walked through I did smell a small whiff of perfume (or at least a sweet smelling aroma) . I asked the event coordinator, who pointed out that upstairs there were plug in scents. I walked the perimeter of the downstairs room and did not find any plugged in. I did create a video of the perimeter and then did attempt an EVP session with my cell phone.
Another paranormal team was also present at the event. (At this time they have not spoken to me). Only one team has investigated the depot, and it was this team.
I had one woman who talked with me at length about her own experiences with family communications. It was a wonderful conversation and I really appreciate her telling me about her experiences.
Founders day: The original Founders Day was in the 1920s, but it was a homecoming party. The city was founded in 1910, so by 1925 a lot of people had grwon up and left. Homecoming parade started this. In 1948/9 e had founder’s day. They had it around Labor Day (Sept. 1). the problem is that it would storm and a lot of people complaining that it would rain and they moved it to March. It’s a celebration of our history and present, hope for future/
Zepheryhills changing a lot right now. So, the main thing is to keep people excited abut ttheir history and how it affects them/
Erica freeman was born and raised here (though there was no hospital in the area at the time, so born in Dade and raised here). Hospital was 1986.
Zepherhills waas a plannd community in 1910. Captain Jeffries wanted the area for the union veterans and their families. It was successful Jeffries served for the Union and came from Pennsylvania. He was here for the Seminole Wars; they did create Fort Broome for people to be safe during th Seminole Wars.
Handcart Road: Can hear the indigenous people war cry or chanting (before they were kicked out of the area). Haunted area. This was a heavily populated Seminole area. Tochaka largest city before they got kicked out. They have found prior populations antiquities.
Mr. Parsons was a long tine worker.cc
Prior investigation: somebody buried under the depot. Voicebox kept saying body under floor. Before it was Zephryhills it was a turpentine camp. Sundown town (the divide is not far from depot). Turpentine camps might have produced unknown graves. After the 1880s, the nly unmakred graves are freedom town.
Zephyrills today: Median age has dropped, a lot of famlies and younger people.
Move in 1988 to 1991.
Need Ricardo for train depot; through the city website.
Pam, a sensitive (whose family is sensitive) picked up an older white male here. She tasted something sweet. (Just at end of the event). Smell of BayRum by Pam and Harley.
